A birthday imagine for Jack and Finn’s birthday. 20!! Why are all the pretty people twenty right now…Ugh. They’re also all from the UK, which makes me sad. …pj…
You walked up to the door biting your lip, you were almost completely empty handed. All you had were two pennies you picked up from the pavement. This year, you hardly made enough to pay rent and buy food. You basically lived off of pot noodles and popcorn when you could afford to eat.
You stood there with shaking hands as Jack opened the door. Finn immediately popped up behind him, slapping a party hat on him. “Y/N! Come in!” Jack smiled, motioning for you to come inside. Once you had set foot in the house, Finn stuck a party hat on you as you scrunched your face.
Finn grabbed your hand as his family walked towards you. “Mrs. Harries.” You smiled. “Y/N.” She smiled, giving you a light hug. You were always scared she wouldn’t like you, maybe because you were poor or because your mom was eighteen when she had you and your dad left before you were born.
You always felt as if someone was judging you.
You had a great time at the party, and then…it was time for the twins to open their presents. You immediately felt guilty and looked at your shoes as the boys ripped the paper off of the gifts. By the end, you heard the words you were dreading to hear. “Did you get us a gift?” Jack asked, before Finn slapped the back of his head.
You bit your lip before shaking your head. “I’m so sorry. I didn’t have enough with my apartment, and uni, and - Jack, Finn, I am so sorry. All I have are two pennies for you both.” You pulled out the two pennies and tossed them to the twins, one at a time. Jack missed, luckily, Finn caught his. “Sweet American money!” Jack smiled, as you rolled your eyes.
Finn walked over to you and wrapped his arms around you from behind, resting his chin on the top of your head. “It’s okay, it’s a good birthday as long as you’re here.”
